  • Barbera del Monferrato DOC is a modern Barbera vinified in steel tanks. The grapes come from young vines in order to produce a pleasant and easy-to-drink red wine. The wine has an extraordinary fruity bouquet with notes of cherry and strawberry. The taste is fresh and lively, with hints of red fruit. It goes well with Mediterranean cuisine. It is best if drunk young.

    Variety: 100% Barbera
    Vineyards: Young vines located in the Monferrato area. Grape yield of 10 tons/hectare. Manual harvest.
    Winemaking: Temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation with short maceration on skins. Then ageing in steel tanks for at least 3 months.
    Alcohol Content: 12,5-13 % vol.
    Tasting notes: red Rubin colour. The nose is fragrant with intense hints of red fruit such as cherry and strawberry. The taste is fresh and lively with hints of red fruit.
    Pairing: Ideal with pasta dishes, chicken and delicate dishes.

  • “La Rossa” (meaning “the red one”) is an Italian synonymous of Barbera because evokes its intense red colour. The grapes are selected from the best vineyards located in the Monferrato-Asti area. The wine ages in wooden casks for at least 7/8 months. La Rossa is a complex red wine, ideal for hearty meals.

     

    Variety: 100% Barbera.
    Vineyards: located in Monferrato-Asti area with
    south-exposition, guyot training system, grape yield of 9 tons/hectare max, manual harvest.
    Winemaking: temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation and maceration on skins for 12-15 days. Maturation in wooden casks for 7/8 months and for 6 months in bottle before sale.
    Alc. content: 14% vol.
    Tasting notes: nose complex and intense with notes of cherry and currant. Full-bodied taste with notes of fresh and mature red fruit such as cherry, raspberry with an elegant final of vanilla.
    Pairing: ideal with stuffed pasta, red meat, roast and cheese.

  • Barbera d’Asti “La Moretta” embodies our modern style to produce Barbera, vinified in steel tanks. Fruity, elegant and easy–to–drink, is a perfect red wine to enjoy at any time. It pairs very well different type of food.

     

    Variety: 100% Barbera.
    Vineyards: located in Monferrato-Asti area. Grape-yield of 9 tons/hectare. Manual harvest.
    Winemaking: temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation. Then ageing in steel tanks at least 6 months before bottling.
    Alc. content: 13%-13,5% vol.
    Tasting notes: red-violet colour, nose with aroma of red fruit. The taste is fresh and elegant with notes of red cherry and raspberry.
    Pairing: Barbera d’Asti is one of the best wine to pair with any type of food but is ideal with pasta, risotto and grilled meat.

  • Barolo is the icon of Piedmont wines. Our Barolo is produced according to tradition with long maceration and maturation in big wooden casks. A Barolo to age in cellar but also great to drink when released.

     

    Variety: 100% Nebbiolo.Vineyards: South-faced vineyards located around Barolo production area. Grape yield of 8 tons/hectare. Manual harvest.
    Winemaking: alcoholic fermentation and maceration for 16-19 days. Then maturation in wooden casks for 2 years and for 6 months in bottle before sale.
    Alc. content: 14-14,5% vol.
    Tasting notes: nose very ample and complex with notes of violet and spices. The taste is rich in smooth tannins with
    notes of red mature fruit, tobacco and vanilla.
    Pairing: ideal with roast, game and stew.

  • Dolcetto di Ovada “Venere” is a fruity red wine with a dry lingering aftertaste. It is smooth and balanced with a touch of spiciness.
    It is the perfect everyday red wine.

    Variety: 100% Dolcetto.
    Vineyards: located in the Monferrato area with a yield of 8 tons/hectare. Manual harvest.
    Winemaking: temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation with short maceration on skins. Then ageing in steel tank for at least 6 months.
    Alcohol content: 12,5-13 % vol.
    Tasting notes: red rubin colour with a very fruity nose and taste with hints of plums and raspberry.
    Pairing: ideal with delicate dishes such as pasta and soup.

  • Grignolino is an autochthonous wine produced in small quantity in Monferrato area. Red light in colour, low alcohol content and very delicate bouquet and taste, with notes of rose and white pepper. It’s the perfect red wine to drink chilled as aperitif or with light dishes.

     

    Variety: 100% Grignolino

    Vineyards: located in Monferrato area. Grape yield of 8 tons/hectare. Manual harvest.

    Winemaking: temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation with short maceration on skins. Then ageing in steel tanks for at least 6 months.

    Alc. Content: 12,5–13% vol.

    Tasting notes: red light colour and nose very delicate hinting at rose and white pepper. The taste is smooth and soft with notes of strawberry and raspberry.

    Pairing: ideal as aperitif and with light and delicate dishes. It’s best if drunk chilled.

  • Nebbiolo d’Alba is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes cultivated on the hills around Alba town. It ages for six months in wood. The nose, soft and fragrant at first, becomes ethereal over time with notes of red fruit and spices. The taste is dry with good hints of violet, raspberry and almond. It goes very well with red meat, braised and cheese.

     

    Variety: 100% Nebbiolo.
    Vineyards: located in Langhe-Roero area with south-exposition. Grape yield of 9 tons/hectare max. Manual harvest.
    Winemaking: temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation and maceration for 8 days. Then ageing for 12 months in wood and for 6 months in bottle before sale.
    Alc. content: 13,5-14 % vol.
    Tasting notes: nose ample with notes of violet, red fruit and spices. The taste has a good structure with notes of red fruit and smoothy tannic final.
    Pairing: ideal pairing with red meat, braised and cheese.

  • The new designation Nizza DOCG is recognized as the summit of the appellations of Barbera grapes in Piedmont. Nizza’s production is restricted to selected vineyards around the Nizza Monferrato village. These vineyards benefit from great exposures (from south-east to south-west) and low yield (7 tons/hectare). The result is a complex and intense wine with an extraordinary potential for ageing. Nizza is the icon wine of our estate and our best interpretation of Barbera. It’s named after our founder Luigi Aresca who always believed in the potential of this great grape variety. Nizza ages for 12 months in barrels and at least 6 months in bottle before sale.

    Vineyards: selected vineyards for soil quality and exposure (from south-east to south west). Guyot training system, grape-yield of 7 tons/hectare, manual harvest.

    Winemaking: temperature–controlled alcoholic fermentation and maceration for 20 days. Ageing for 12 months in barrel and for 6 months in bottle before sale.

    Al. content: 14-14,5% vol.

    Tasting notes: red intense colour; nose ethereal and complex with notes of red and black fruit, chocolate and cocoa. The taste has a good structure and complexity with notes of black cherry and sweet tobacco.

    Pairing: ideal with red meat and game but you can enjoy Nizza as a meditation wine.
